Fender California Deluxe Monterey E Acoustic Electric

Comfortable folk-style acoustic electric with solid spruce tone and Fishman electronics

Overview

The Fender California Deluxe Monterey E Acoustic Electric is built for players who want a comfortable, responsive acoustic with modern plugged-in performance. Its folk-style orchestra/auditorium body offers an intimate playing feel that encourages long writing sessions, relaxed practice and expressive performance. With a solid Sitka spruce top, laminated mahogany back and sides, scalloped X bracing and Fishman CD-1 electronics, the Monterey E delivers a focused, articulate voice with the flexibility to move from home playing to the stage.

Features

The solid Sitka spruce top gives the Monterey E a lively and responsive acoustic character, while the laminated mahogany back and sides add warmth and balance. Scalloped X bracing helps the body resonate freely, producing a clear and full tone that works well for strumming, fingerpicking and vocal accompaniment.

The slim “C” mahogany neck and 12 inch radius walnut fretboard provide a smooth, modern feel that is easy to settle into. Its 25.5 inch scale length gives the guitar a familiar acoustic response, while the non-cutaway body design keeps the voice focused and natural for players who prefer a traditional acoustic feel.

The onboard Fishman CD-1 preamp makes this Monterey E ready for amplified use. Volume, bass, treble, tuner and phase controls give players practical tone-shaping tools directly from the guitar, while sealed die-cast split-shaft tuning machines, a Micarta nut and saddle, Modern Viking bridge and phosphor bronze strings complete a reliable acoustic electric package.
