Taylor GP Gold Label Deep Body Acoustic Electric w/Case - 717EGL

Taylor Gold Label 717e

Deep Power. Lush Character. Unrivaled Precision.

A flagship voice in Taylor’s most refined acoustic series, the Gold Label 717e delivers a commanding presence with lush tonal depth, bold projection, and premium design detail. Evolving the acclaimed Grand Pacific body shape with a deeper build, the 717e produces extraordinary low-end warmth and acoustic power, offering players a vintage-voiced instrument that still maintains Taylor’s signature comfort and clarity.

At the heart of its tonal character is a torrefied Sitka spruce top, meticulously roasted to bring out aged-in sweetness and organic complexity. Paired with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, the 717e unleashes rich, shimmering overtones and dynamic range, producing a piano-like low end, sparkling highs, and an articulate midrange response—perfect for players who need nuance, punch, and headroom.

Supporting its expressive tone is Taylor’s fanned V-Class bracing, which enhances sustain, boosts volume, and tightens intonation across the fretboard. The 717e also features the Action Control Neck™ with a long-tenon joint—an innovative Taylor design that optimizes neck-to-body resonance while allowing fast, tool-free string height adjustments for ideal playability at all times.

The guitar’s appearance is as refined as its sound. A natural gloss finish over the torrefied spruce top complements the deep hues of Indian rosewood. A modified headstock with an angled back cut and a script-style Taylor logo sets this model apart, while the firestripe pickguard, cream body binding, and cream single-ring rosette reinforce its vintage roots. Appointments include a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge, Indian rosewood bridge pins, and cream Crest inlays on the ebony fretboard and peghead—details exclusive to the Gold Label Collection.

For players who demand premium performance on stage, the LR Baggs Element VTC pickup system captures every nuance of the 717e’s acoustic character, delivering rich, natural tone in any amplified setting. The instrument ships in a British Cocoa deluxe hardshell case, offering both style and protection.
