Fender California Deluxe Newporter CE Acoustic Electric

Cutaway acoustic electric with solid spruce tone, Fishman electronics and refined California Series feel

Overview

The Fender California Deluxe Newporter CE Acoustic Electric is built for players who want a comfortable, expressive acoustic with modern stage-ready features. Its distinctive Newporter body shape and cutaway design provide a refined playing feel with easy access to the upper register, making it a strong choice for songwriting, live performance, practice and recording. With a solid Sitka spruce top, laminated mahogany back and sides, scalloped X bracing and Fishman CD-1 electronics, this model delivers a full, balanced acoustic voice with reliable plugged-in performance.

Features

The solid Sitka spruce top gives the Newporter CE a lively and responsive acoustic character, while laminated mahogany back and sides add warmth and balance. Scalloped X bracing helps the body resonate clearly, giving the guitar a full sound with enough articulation for both strumming and more detailed playing.

The slim “C” mahogany neck is designed for smooth, comfortable fretting, and the 12 inch radius walnut fretboard gives the instrument a modern feel that works well for chords, lead lines and melodic playing. A 25.5 inch scale length provides a familiar acoustic response, while the cutaway body design makes the upper frets easier to reach.

The onboard Fishman CD-1 preamp makes the Newporter CE ready for amplified performance. Volume, bass, treble, tuner and phase controls give players useful sound-shaping options directly from the guitar, while sealed die-cast split-shaft tuning machines, a Micarta nut and saddle, Modern Viking bridge and phosphor bronze strings complete a dependable acoustic electric package.
